With the purpose of increasing the knowledge transfer, not only inside the academic sector, but also in industry, a MOOC it is been developed to spread the acquired knowledge during the lifetime of the project and share results. The MOOC program includes a dedicated segment aimed at empowering stakeholders within security organizations, such as technicians, CISOs, and IT managers, to embrace the quantum era through the implementation of advanced quantum communications. This comprehensive course provides a robust educational experience, offering in-depth information and practical guidance.
As part of the PTQCI exploitation strategy, there will be produced a PTQCI E-book highlighting the significance of transitioning towards a quantum state status for organizations, which will be available to upload free of charge on the project website. This comprehensive, free, and publicly accessible E-book will contain the project information, technical content and procedures, results, and include a set of recommendations/best practices and standardizations measures to follow in future projects of this sort, specially addressed to the industry context.

With strong contributions from academia, government, and industry, Portugal is not just following global trends—it is helping to define them. By integrating cutting-edge quantum protocols, composable security frameworks, CV-QKD systems, and strategic national planning, the PTQCI lays the foundation for a future-proof, quantum-secure communication ecosystem. In PTQCI we prepare an EBook with all the material from the MOOC section (download here), providing an introduction to quantum technologies and their engineering challenges. This course reviews implementations of quantum communication systems basic science and engineering behind the technology. Besides that, it also presents fundamental models to understand security limits for quantum protocols beyong quantum key distribution.
